You . . . provide the photos, music, and an idea of how you'd like it arranged. Include any memorable items you'd like to include such as personal letters, momentos, newspaper articles, etc.
We . . . scan or enhance your photos, add the music, motion effects and transitions to create your custom video. We do not use templates--each video is truly unique!
You Determine The Theme: You may choose a reflective slideshow with slowly cascading photos and gentle fades or something light-hearted and fast-paced using explosive animations and spinning pictures. We take the time to really understand your ideas and incorporate your personality into your project.
Whatever your audience: DVD Slide Shows are a great way to preserve precious moments of your life, tell a story, give a family history lesson, celebrate life's special events, or tell someone you love them.
Before You Begin: Planning is the key. Having a general idea of where you are going with your video before you begin will make the rest of the planning process easier. Before rummaging through old photo albums, you must be clear on the purpose of your video album.
Ask yourself: 1. About how long do you want the video to be? The number of photos that you choose to use will determine the length of the video. If you are wanting to use the traditional slideshow format (simple fade-in and fade-out style), the average 10 minute video will feature about 70-80 photos. The length will of course vary with the song choice and "style" of video.
2. Do you want your video to include photos from the person(s) entire life or is the video going to focus on a specific aspect of the person(s) life, such as a hobby or a special family occasion?
3. Would you like your video to be funny, sentimental, or both?
4. What do you want the audience to feel when it’s over?
5. Are captions necessary for the audience to understand the photos?
6. For wedding video albums, do you want the groom's childhood photos to be separate from the brides' or intertwined?
7. Do you have any other items that you would like to include? Newspaper articles, memorabilia, cards, etc?
8. Before sending your photos, view our Planning Guide for tips and suggestions on choosing/scanning photos, captions, music, etc.
9.. The hard part is over!! We'll take it from here!
Forever And A Day Production will walk with you through the remainder of the process! Once we have received your order we will contact you for the details and make sure we know exactly what you have in mind. We will then send you an email confirming all details of your video (number of copies, music, etc.)
We will then begin to work on your video. We keep the masters of each video album for at least one year. If you decide you’d like extra VHS or DVD copies of your video, you can purchase them up until that time.
